Hazelhurst Town Hall and Fire Department

The Town purchased an existing business site that included two buildings and a large site footprint for the means of an economical advantage of re-purposing over the proposed new construction project of a new town hall only. An existing 7,842 sf retail building was converted into the Hazelhurst Town Hall/Community Center. Based on a program developed in the previous study project, the interior of the building was redesigned to meet the needs of the Town. A new front entry airlock with a canopy addition was designed and added to the building to allow the patrons additional coverage while entering the building.
The additional building on site was the original retail business heated storage facility. The existing 4,224 square foot building was designed to meet the state and NFPA regulations and programming goals of the new Hazelhurst Fire Station
